The project and the journey
You'll experience Bosnia & Herzegovina in a unique and meaningful way. Enjoy wonderful excursions that will introduce you to the country and its culture.
You'll visit Sarajevo, Mostar, and the historic village of Lukomir, among other places. During the Battle Tour, we'll tell you about the history and role of the
foundation. In between, you can relax at the lake.
You'll also roll up your sleeves to help the local community move forward. You can choose whether to help with renovations or participate in activities with the children and/or adults.
You sleep in Veliko Srce with a different beautiful view every day.
After a week you will be full of impressions
unforgettable memories back home.

PROJECT
You will be working at the Pazaric institution, located near Sarajevo. This institution caters to people with disabilities aged 0 to 100.
For the handymen among us, there's plenty of challenge. Several pavilions desperately need work. A little painting and decorating would brighten things up.
In addition, young and old alike need attention in the form of all kinds of activities. Some residents spend the entire day in bed. For them, a friendly face is enough. But crafts, sports and games, or just a pleasant conversation are also more than welcome.
Unfortunately, an institution in Bosnia & Herzegovina is largely dependent on third-party assistance because the government provides insufficient funding.

Veliko Srce (Big Heart)
Our base, Veliko Srce, is located on Lake Jablanica. It's a simple hostel with a stunning view of Lake Jablanica, where you can swim and sail.
There is a communal living room and terraces on each floor to eat together, play games and enjoy a drink and nice stories.
You'll sleep in one of the rooms or in a log cabin in the garden. Toilets and showers are available for shared use. A private bathroom can also be requested.
In the summer, we also organize holidays here for Bosnian youth from struggling families. We also welcome residents of institutions for people with disabilities. Together with our volunteers, we ensure our guests have a wonderful time.
